The New England Chamber Orchestra

Discovering the Unknown, Shaping the Future

Discovering rarely performed chamber orchestral works and introducing them in their historical context.

This concert season marks the fourth year since the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine in February of 2022. NECO commemorates this heavy moment by featuring the celebrated Ukrainian violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv, who will be performing a rare gem, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in D minor. After the concert in Lexington, we will offer a Question and Answer Session in which Ivakhiv will discuss the impact of the war on Ukrainian artists and musicians.
