Discovering rarely performed chamber orchestral works and introducing them in their historical context.
This concert season marks the fourth year since the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine in February of 2022. NECO commemorates this heavy moment by highlighting the contributions of Ukrainian musicians. NECO is also deeply honored to be joined by the celebrated Ukrainian violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv for this concert, performing a rare gem, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in D minor.
