Kyle Davis, Viola

Picture
"Kyle Davis, a Texas native, began his musical journey on the viola at a local Suzuki school. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he studied with Dr. Susan Dubois and Dr. Daphne Gerling, earning accolades such as the College of Music Deans Camerata Scholarship. He furthered his studies with a Master of Music degree from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music under violist Atar Arad, where he also had the opportunity to study with members of the Pacifica Quartet and to perform on the annual Dubinsky Chamber Recital.
Kyle is currently a section violist with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and has played with many orchestras nationwide, including The Orchestra Now at Bard College (NY), The Orchestra San Antonio (TX), Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra (IN) and Owensboro Symphony Orchestra (KY).
During his tenure as a graduate fellow with The Orchestra Now, Kyle had the privilege of performing at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, under renowned conductors JoAnn Falletta and Tan Dun."
